One of the main reasons I choose thos hotel on the regular when I'm in Columbia is because of the breakfast. Most hotels don't feed you anything worthy of breakfast status at all. When you add in a very pleasant, soft spoken, unique spirit such as Violet who serves breakfast, it's a winning combination. She greeted me soon as she came out with the eggs. A warm smile in the morning kind of helps set the tone for your entire day, especially when you drive OTR and smiling faces are the last thing you ever see out here. I really appreciated her hospitality and warm smile. Her breakfast spread was wonderful like always. I told her that she was the exception in service and not the norm. That's why I'm doing thos review. BECAUSE SERVICE MATTERS!! And Violet nails it. Her spirit brings a different vibe to something as simple as eating breakfast. So of you stay over at WinGate, and have breakfast in the am, stop and say hi to Violet. And leave a little something in her pocket. And tell her BIGBEN from St. Louis sent you! Cheers!

The room was spacious and clean and the home fries on the hot buffet were on point 👌🏽The highlight of the stay for me was they have all Dove soap, shampoo and conditioner. Bonus points for that!

I had a very nice stay. The room was good and clean and fresh. It was nearly good enough to rate a 5. However, my check in experience was less than professional and quite unusual. A new front desk employee was being trained which I have no issue with. The woman training the new man was pleasant upbeat and professional in her dress and behavior. What was unprofessional was the clothing the trainee was wearing. A t-shirt with a funny thing on the front. It is actually really funny but out of place and poor judgment on the part of the new employee and the manager or trainer. It’s something that all guests seeing that day will probably not forget anytime soon. I asked to take a picture of his shirt because I thought it was funny and he was more than willing to oblige. He was a really nice guy.

The staff at this hotel are simply amazing! I had called months back and set up a special event here, and in July I was told they dont normally do that event at this location but since I'd worked it out they'd not only honor it but they went above and beyond to help make it special. The general manager Ryan was so helpful and gracious to me and my family. Everyone I came across working the front desk did everything to make us comfortable, even bringing us extra pillows around midnight! The entire place was clean and cozy, fully stocked little store at the front desk, and an awesome breakfast in the morning. I could not have been happier and will definetly be referring people here!
