COLUMBIA MISSOURI HOTEL REVIEWS WITH REAL HOSPITALITY

Friendly staff - cleaning rooms - secure facility. Great location. My stay was for business and I always stay here on my trips to Columbia. I have never been disappointed. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you

Room was clean and had everything we needed. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable! And probably one of the best “free hot breakfasts” I’ve had at a hotel that wasn’t at a restaurant. We would definitely stay there again

As a traveling nurse I booked online after arriving to Columbia Missouri and being referred by my supervisor to stay at Wingate (noting quite a few of the travelers stay there) for a great rate and we could do early check in (I work 7p-7a). Upon arriving to the hotel, I encountered Lauren (front desk help) informing her of my reservation and desire to check in. Lauren informed me I couldn't check in until 3pm. I informed her my supervisor had spoken with someone at the hotel (prior to me booking my room at 0730) informing my supervisor I would be allowed to check in upon my arrival (0740). Lauren then proceeded to tell she wasn't aware of the phone call and although they do have numerous nurse's staying at the hotel she couldn't check me in because I went through a third party and they didn't have that particular room available, however I could pay a 40 dollar early check in fee. Once I agreed to the fee, informing her it didn't matter what kind of room I stayed in, I just needed to lay down. Explaining to her I had driven from Georgia the previous day going directly to work at 7pm and was exhausted. She then explained, had I booked directly with the hotel I could have gotten a room at the Nurse rate. I then asked for my money to be returned and cancel the reservation...
