Test your adventurous side and need for speed with off-road vehicles at Finger Lakes State Park, a former mining area near our Columbia, MO hotel. Just a short drive from Wingate by Wyndham Columbia, expect to have a field day at this expansive park delivering over 70 miles of trails for ATV and off-road motorcycle riding. Enjoy access to the nearly 3-mile Kelley Branch Mountain Bike Trail, which runs along the scenic and serene Kelley Branch Stream. Head to Peabody Lake and try everything from kayaking and canoeing to fishing and swimming. Or roll out a blanket and delight in an afternoon picnic.

    Just about every activity you can think of is available at Finger Lakes State Park. There are trails for off-road motorcycle riding, ATV riding, and mountain biking. In addition, there are innumerable trails that are a big draw for joggers and hikers. You’ll also encounter a lake for all sorts of water adventures, such as canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing.
  • What is the Finger Lakes Adventure Challenge?

    This annual event is part of the Missouri State Parks Racing Series and features water- and land-based events. It begins with kayaking along the 4.5-mile water trail and ends with jogging on the 2.75-mile Kelley Branch Mountain Bike Trail. Medals are given out to the top 3 finishers (male and female) and to the top 3 finishers in a variety of age groups.
