Stayed here during the Missouri Wrestling State weekend, so prices were definitely higher than usual and options in the area were limited. This was one of the last places with availability, so it worked for what was needed at the time. The hotel is older but mostly clean. They offer breakfast, and there is an older pool, hot tub, and a small gym available. Nothing fancy, but the basic amenities were there. I did have some issues with the TV and the heater in the room, but the front desk staff came up within about 10 minutes to try to fix it, which was appreciated. The building has definitely settled over time, the drawers would randomly slide open because the room was so unlevel, and the walls are very thin so you can hear quite a bit from neighboring rooms. Overall, it served its purpose for a busy tournament weekend when availability was scarce. It’s not somewhere I would likely stay again, but it got the job done when I needed a place to sleep.

Not bad for a place just to sleep

Our mother died in Dixon Kentucky. We have made this trip a few times a year to see mom. Now we will do it again to clean out her house. We picked Wingate because they have been good to us. This time the room was $90 more than last time. Randy checked us in and when we got to the room the iron board was broke. We called 3 times for a new board, never got one as I sit here in wrinkled clothes. We did get a call about 10pm in the room but we were a sleep and the person hung up. I brought this to Ryan the manager when we checked out. Truthfully, he could care less. He was full of excuses. So sad. So unaccomadating. We recently had to travel again for a family emergency. We stayed at Wingate. The room was great and the cost was very affordable. We were traveling a hard road personally and not to have to worry about the room or the amenities was wonderful We travel back and forth between Nebraska and Kentucky. It is great to finally found a hotel that is clean, efficient and cares about their guests. We definitely will be back again.

You have to check yourself in with a kiosk. Pool closed, breakfast subpar for the price, shower you must actually step into it to turn the water on thereby blasting yourself with cold water as you jump back and wait for it to warm. Wish I would have stayed at Drury.
